About

Lystra Mahabir Mongroo - Psychotherapist / Clinical Social Worker
BA/BSW, MSW. EMDR II, C.HYP

Life's problems and challenges can often seem overwhelming. As a result, feelings of helplessness, frustration, sadness, loneliness, even hopelessness, may develop. Counselling and psychotherapy involves exploring these issues in a safe, non-judgemental  environment with a therapist trained to be unbiased, supportive and confidential

This provides a conducive atmosphere that enables the client to feel comfortable to express their feelings and develop strategies to deal with difficult situations.

The basic belief that every individual is unique in their experience and deserves to be respected as such is at the core of a meaningful therapeutic relationship.
