Online Counselling and Psychotherapy ServiceS
Distance therapy or Telehealth has proven to be as effective as in person therapy and is presently being widely used by trained therapists across the world.
The effectiveness of online therapy is supported by thirty years of research. The majority of clients who choose this form of therapeutic interaction have found it to be as effective as in person therapy sessions.
Though video sessions are the more frequent choice for distance therapy, some people do opt for telephone dialogue, while others prefer text-based communication such as email or text messaging.
Suitability for distance therapy is usually assessed by the therapist before beginning work with a client, as not all issues can be effectively dealt with via distance.

COVID-19 PANDEMIC
The Pandemic confronting us all now has given rise to significant levels of anxiety, depression, fear, paranoia, and has in fact created a state of worldwide trauma. Loss of control, immobility, fear and uncertainty makes it difficult to feel a sense of purpose and of security for many people.
-Family and friends who have lost loved ones are finding themselves dealing with very painful emotions without the accustomed human interaction that usually takes place to acknowledge and honour loss.
-With orders to stay at home, or work from home, there are many finding themselves in situations of domestic violence, worsening family/relationship conflict and child abuse. Now more than ever, mental wellness must be seen as an immediate priority as our mental health directly affects our physical and emotional well-being.
-Many support services have been set up by government agencies, and NGOs have been reaching out to those who find themselves in need. There are telephone Crisis lines and Help lines to call for information - you can find these listed in your local newspapers, on your local television channels, and on your government websites.
At this unprecedented time of uncertainty, anxiety and lifestyle readjustment, seeking assistance with psychosocial and mental health issues can help to alleviate some of the stress and provide a sense of balance.
Call (1-868) 714 5551 or 393 4546 or email via the Contact page for an appointment
A limited number of in-person office appointments are again available starting June 8th 2020.
